Two key local run events will again take centre stage with a fantastic opportunity to swim, run, and ‘aquathon’. |
The signature swim and run in Australia turns 14 in 2013 and a super day is planned. Join in the fun, and see why it is one of newly crowned World U23 Triathlon Champion Aaron Royal’s local favourite.
Three events, kids, to adult all ages – go solo or tag team. A massive day is planned, over 90 event category prizes, huge $8,000 prize and give away, a massive crowd, fun and festivities continue all day, and in support of Anglicare. NEW for 2013 – walk for ANGLICARE – 3km charity walk added to schedule…
- Kids 7-12 years Aquafun (200m swim / 2km run) – all individuals receive finisher medals and special giveaways
- Short Aqua (400m swim / 3km run) perfect all ages, all levels of fitness fun
- Long Aqua (900m swim / 7km run) spectacular event In its 14th year, enter as either individual and put together a team
In 2012, over 1600 competitors took part ranging from seven years of age through to 84 with hundreds of more spectators lining the foreshore.

Cardno Splash and Dash (Aquathon)
Two swim and runs with MINI a 250m swim / 2.5km run U12 and up, or the Big 650m swim / 5km Run – individual and tag team. Safe harbour swim, and spectacular south loop run past lighthouse an and city beach
Vision Personal Training SUMMER RUN5 (and walk)
It’s the runners, joggers and walkers turn and offers a 5km scenic and fast course. Starts in Lang Park opposite city beach, around the lighthouse, to city beach and finishes on scenic flagstaff hill. Do it for Ovarian Cancer – ages U12 and up and includes TEAMS Challenge! Team Up, Corporate and School.
Big Fat Smile Kidz Run & Family Walk 2.5km
Taking on the same course as the Summer Run5, but turns at Wollongong Entertainment Centre the Big Fat Smile Kidz Run and Family Walk is for kidz 6-12 years to run, and/or join the family and walk it – any age! Medals for finishers, loads of prizes and give aways
So come and join in, full professional services, refreshment, finish expo, thousands dollars give away’s and a fun vibe make it the festival not to miss.
